Happy New Year! The worst holiday of the year! New Year’s Eve is amateur hour at any bar, club, or restaurant you go to. In my twenties I quickly realized that dropping $100 for a two-hour “open bar” actually meant cramming into an overpopulated, underventilated bar turned wearhouse and spending 45 minutes of each hour angling, pushing, and careening your way to the bar to order two (the limit) vodka sodas, pounding them as fast as you can, and ordering two more before frantically trying to find a cute girl to kiss at midnight.
